PEPPER’S PROJECT is an organization for helping young Japanese artists of today’s new generations in managing variety of projects from art exhibition to art-coordination for venues around the world. Through those art projects and exhibitions PEPPER’S PROJECT offers, a new wave of Japan’s art has been introduced to many different parts of the world.



history of PEPPER’S PROJECT

1998 Pepper’s Gallery was founded in Ginza, Tokyo Japan. A new series of art exhibition “PEPPER'S PROJECT EXHIBITION” was first held in introducing new Japanese artists of all genres.

2000-2006 Pepper’s Loft Gallery was founded in Higashi Ginza, Tokyo Japan. Pepper’s started to run more programs in the two galleries cooperating with each other.

1998-2013 For sixteen years, Pepper’s has been engaged in art business fine art including painting, carving and installation as well as new art field such as design, contemporary craft, media art, film, dance performance and sound performance. Literally Pepper’s has been engaged in all genres of art programs.

2006 A new concept “Gallery Program to Project-Based Program” started at Pepper’s, together with the regular gallery projects. Pepper’s started to hold many art exhibitions and projects in many venues and vicinities domestically and internationally.

End of 2013 Closed Pepper’s Gallery.

2014 Thinking outside the box, Pepper’s started to be engaged in many projects “outside the art galleries” as an art organization, not as an art gallery.
